Active COVID-19 cases in Angeles City rise to 1,502

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––The active COVID-19 cases in Angeles City have reached 1,502.

The city government also recorded on Tuesday 66 new cases, 33 recoveries, and a single death on Tuesday. The fatality was a resident of Balibago village.

The Angeles City bulletin on Monday showed 1,504 active cases after registering 92 new ones, 33 recoveries, and one death.

Since the onset of the pandemic last year, Angeles recorded 9,593 COVID-19 cases, of which 7,696 have recovered, while 395 have died.

The virus continues to infect most villages in the city, particularly Sto. Domingo, which has the most active cases at 152.

Barangay Balibago, which has 120 active cases, registered 19 new
ones on Tuesday.

Other villages that have high COVID-19 cases were Cutcut (131), Pandan (98), and Anunas (85).

Last Aug. 28, the city logged a record-high of 148 COVID-19 cases in a single day.
