5 kids among new COVID-19 cases in Zambales
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––At least 89 more COVID-19 cases were registered Tuesday in this province, bringing to 928 its active infections, an official said.
Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said five children, aged 1 to 8 years old, were among the new cases exposed to a virus-infected family member.
Some of the other fresh cases were 23 citizens aged 60 to 97, Bueno said.
Despite the new infections, the number of active cases was slightly down from 929 the previous day after the province recorded 90 new recoveries.
Bueno said the province’s death toll still stood at 187, with no new fatalities reported on Tuesday.
