Aquino has no psychological record, says spokeswoman

MANILA, Philippines – President Benigno Aquino III has no psychiatric or psychological records to present to anyone, a Malacañang spokesperson said Saturday.

“There are none,” Abigail Valte, one of the President’s spokespersons, said when asked to answer a statement issued by impeached Chief Justice Corona the previous day demanding that Mr. Aquino release the records of his psychological health.

“All their allegations are anchored on false claims,” she added in a radio interview.

Valte said documents purporting to be records of President Aquino’s mental health have already been repeatedly disavowed by the people who supposedly prepared them.

The issue of Mr. Aquino’s psychological fitness first surfaced during the 2010 election campaign.

“It didn’t sell in 2010. It also won’t in  2012,” Valte said.
