Tuguegarao City extends ECQ anew

TUGUEGARAO CITY The city will again remain under enhanced community quarantine (ECQ), the most restrictive form of quarantine, until September 5 due to a continuous surge in COVID-19 cases, authorities said.

According to the regional inter-agency task force, it approved the extension as recommended by the city government and other sectors. The city’s ECQ status was supposed to be lifted on Monday, August 30.

Data showed that the number of active COVID-19 cases in the city has already reached 1,407 with the addition of 81 new cases on Sunday.

Since last year, Tuguegarao has registered 11,086 COVID-19 cases and 264 deaths. INQ
