MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Three more patients have died Sunday due to COVID-19 complications in Angeles City, bringing its total number of deaths from the viral disease to 393 since last year.
The city also recorded Sunday 71 new patients and 70 recoveries, as its active COVID-19 cases stood at 1,445, its highest since the onset of the pandemic.
The Angeles City government said the new fatalities were residents of Anunas, Margot, and Mining villages.
The villages with the most COVID-19 cases include Sto. Domingo (137), Cutcut (122), and Pandan (113).
The city has recorded 9,434 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year, of which 7,596 have recovered.
