MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––About 47 percent or 7,341 of the 15,497 police officers in Central Luzon have been fully inoculated against COVID-19, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Health Service said Sunday, Aug. 29.
It added that 6,592 police officers under the PRO3 and the regional support units in Central Luzon have been administered with the first dose of the Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna, or Sputnik V vaccines.
The PRO3 Health Service said its Regional Medical and Dental Unit vaccinated 1,994 of the police officers in the region, while 11,939 got their vaccines from the local governments where they are assigned.
Since the pandemic started last year, 2,271 police officers in the region have contracted COVID-19. Of these, 2,137 have recovered, while five have died.
