LUCENA CITY — Police arrested a curfew violator and found him in possession of illegal drugs in Candelaria town in Quezon province before midnight Sunday.

Candelaria police reported that patrolling policemen accosted Joel Altoveros, 51, while roaming in Barangay (village) Malabanban Norte around 11 p.m.

But instead of heeding the police order to go home, Altoveros ignored the instruction and ran away. After a brief chase, policemen eventually cornered Altoveros.
