Bata battles Ko in PBB Series tonight

FILIPINO pool wizard Efren “Bata” Reyes vows to go all out tonight against two-time WPA World Junior champion Ko Pin-yi of Taiwan as they clash in the Philippine Bigtime Billiards (PBB) Face Off Series dubbed as ‘Philippines vs. Asia’ at the Pagcor Airport Casino in Parañaque City.

The race-to-9, 10-ball affair starts at 9 p.m. with Reyes hard-pressed to come up with a win against Ko in this event jointly organized by the Mega Sports World and BRKHRD Corp and aired live over Solar Sports, Sky Channel 70 and Destiny Channel 34.

Sports Betting at MegaSportsWorld favors Ko as a $1-bet on on tne Taiwanese would win $1.60 while a $1-bet on Reyes would win $2.10.

Known as the first Asian to be inducted to the Billiards Hall of Fame, the 57-year-old Reyes defeated fellow two-time world champion Wu Jia Qiang (formerly Wu Chia-ching from Chinese-Taipei), 9-6, in the PBB Face Off Series last Dec. 30.
