Man on probation held over illegal drugs, firearms in Zambales

Seized firearms and drugs from a man who has just been released from Zambales jail on probation

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––A man in the capital town of Iba, who was released from jail on probation, was again arrested after being caught with illegal firearms and “shabu” (crystal meth), police said on Friday, Aug. 27.

Col. Romano Cardiño, provincial police director, identified the suspect as Steve Aduaya, who is also on the drug watchlist.

The arrest was carried out based on the warrant issued by a local court for violation of the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunition.

Aduaya yielded a caliber .38 revolver loaded with six live ammunition and 10 sachets containing alleged shabu.

He was detained and will face charges for violating the Comprehensive Law on Firearms and Ammunitions and the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
