PDEA agents arrest four drug traders in two operations in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY — Anti-narcotics operatives arrested on Wednesday afternoon (August 25) a suspected drug trader in an entrapment operation in Talayan town, Maguindanao.

Director Gilbert Buenafe of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao, said Jimar Vidad Miral, was arrested at his residence in the town center after handing over a kilo of illegal drugs to an undercover agent.

The operation was backed by soldiers of the Army’s 2nd Mechanized Infantry Battalion and Talayan municipal police.

In a separate operation in Sultan Mastura town, law enforcers arrested three persons who were suspected to be operating a drug den.

The PDEA in Maguindanao province identified the suspects as Alvin Sartin Duron, Edgar Gesulga Catipay, Jr., and John Ace Odoc Lizondra who sold P100,000 worth of illegal drugs to a poseur buyer in the village of Macabiso.

All four suspects are now detained at the PDEA lock-up cell here as charges are prepared against them.
