P450,000 worth of sawn lumber seized in Cagayan
TUGUEGARAO CITY — A truck loaded with P450,000 worth of sawn Narra lumber was seized in Tuao town, Cagayan province, police said Wednesday.
According to the investigators, the 3,000 board feet of lumber were abandoned by the truck driver and his helpers to elude arrest.
The seized lumber had been temporarily placed in the custody of the Tuao police station before turning these over to the Department of Environment and Natural Resources.
On August 21, authorities also seized some P20,000 worth of sawn lumber in Gonzaga town, Cagayan.
