Nearly 24% of target Angeles City residents now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
ANGELES CITY — Some 77,441 residents here comprising about 23.8 percent of the 325,500 target population here have been fully inoculated against COVID-19, the city government disclosed on Wednesday, Aug. 25.
The city government said it was also able to administer the first doses of vaccines to 136,446 individuals. The numbers represent the vaccinated persons as of Aug. 24.
Vaccination teams were deployed to City Colleges of Angeles and Angeles City National High School to administer first and second doses of vaccines to hundreds of individuals.
The medical staff of the two mobile bus clinics also administered first doses of the vaccines to residents of Margot and Tabun villages where some 11,600 residents are set to be inoculated.
Irish Calaguas, chief adviser and tactician of Mayor Carmelo Lazatin Jr., told the Inquirer that the city government will have a third mobile bust clinic by next month which will also be used in the “Ronda Bakuna” campaign.
Article continues after this advertisement“We expect the third bus to be fully operational in two weeks. It will also be deployed to different barangays so that residents no longer need to go to our vaccination sites. They will be vaccinated near their homes,” she said.
