LEGAZPI CITY — At least seven illegal drug suspects were arrested on Tuesday by anti-illegal drug police operatives in separate operations in the Camarines provinces, a police report said Wednesday.
In Naga City in Camarines Sur, police arrested Mary Ruth Ambulo, 36; Edgardo Nuñez, 32; Abegail Abesa, 23; Erwin Cecilio, 32; Edmar Madlangbayan, 18; and Kenneth Bacolor, 26, all residents of Barangay Triangulo. They were caught inside a drug den in their village at around 5:25 p.m., Police Major Maria Luisa Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson, said.
Police officers armed with a search warrant seized 16 sachets of shabu (crystal meth) from the suspects.
In Labo town in Camarines Norte province, police collared Rosemarie Padolina, 33 – a high-value target in Barangay Masalong – after she sold shabu to an undercover agent in Barangay Masalong at around 11:50 p.m.
Police seized from the suspect two medium-sized sachets containing shabu.
The arrested suspects are now in police custody and will be facing charges of possession and selling of illegal drugs under the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
