MANILA, Philippines — Southern Luzon and most parts of Visayas and Mindanao are expected to experience rainy weather on Wednesday due to the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ), the state weather service said.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the ITCZ will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to Bicol Region, Quezon province, Eastern and Central Visayas, and the entire Mindanao.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to have partly cloudy to cloudy skies, but rain showers due to isolated thunderstorms are still a possibility, according to Pagasa.

“Sa ngayon ay umiiral pa din ang Intertropical Convergence Zone o ITCZ sa Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao,” weather specialist Benison Estareja said in a public weather forecast.

(As of now, the Intertropical Convergence Zone or ITCZ still prevails in Southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao.)

“Ito ‘yung nakikita nating weather system na magpe-prevail sa susunod na tatlong araw. Within the next three days din po, wala tayong nakikitang bagyo na mabubuo or papasok sa Philippine Area of Responsibility,” Estareja added.

(This weather system will prevail for the next three days. Also in the next three days, there will be no typhoon that will form or will enter the Philippine Area of Responsibility.)

Meanwhile, no gale warning was raised in any of the sea waters nationwide as the rest of the country is expected to have a slight to moderate sea condition with 0.6 to 2.5 meters of waves, according to the state weather service.
