90 more COVID-19 cases recorded in Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––The number of active COVID-19 cases in the province soared to 773 on Monday, Aug. 23, despite the supposed stricter restrictions under a general community quarantine (GCQ), an official said.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said 90 of the active cases were recorded on Monday alone.

At least 47 patients were cleared on the same day, raising the number of recoveries to 4,522, Bueno said.

The province has recorded 5,452 COVID-19 cases since last year with 157 deaths.
