Oil companies reduce diesel, gasoline prices
MANILA, Philippines — Pump prices of diesel dropped for the third straight week, this time by 75 centavos per liter amid heightened fears over COVID-19 outbreaks.
Prices of gasoline also fell by 80 centavos per liter. Caltex cut prices at 12:01 a.m. followed by Petron, Shell, Seaoil, Total and PTT at 6 a.m.
Petron, Shell, Caltex and Seaoil also cut kerosene prices by 90 centavos per liter. The Asian benchmark Dubai crude was at $68.03 per barrel as of Aug. 19, dipping from $70.44 per barrel on Aug. 12.
