CEBU CITY––At least 85 percent of those who died of COVID-19 in different private hospitals in Cebu were unvaccinated, according to the Department of Health in Central Visayas (DOH-7).

Dr. Mary Jean Loreche, DOH-7 chief pathologist, said Monday that 250 of 296 COVID-19 patients died from Aug. 1 to 21 without being vaccinated.

At least 31 other deaths, or 10%, involved fully vaccinated individuals, while 15, or 5%, were partially vaccinated.
