Alleged drug group leader nabbed in Zambales
SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––An alleged leader of a drug syndicate was arrested during a buy-bust operation Monday, Aug. 23, in Castillejos town of this province.
Col. Romano Cardiño, provincial police director, said Arjay Ramat, 35, a resident of Subic town, is the head of the “Ramat Drug Group.”
Cardiño said Ramat and another suspect, Jimmy Aglibot (not related to the author), were caught selling “shabu” (crystal meth) to an undercover agent around 1 a.m.
The police said the suspects sensed that they were dealing with an undercover agent, prompting Aglibot to elude arrest.
Seized from Ramat were 13 sachets of suspected shabu (crystal weighing 26.6 grams worth P180,000 and the marked money.
