5.1 million COVID-19 vaccine doses due this week — Galvez
MANILA, Philippines — The Philippines is set to receive over five million doses of various COVID-19 vaccine brands this week, National Task Force against COVID-19 chief implementer and vaccine czar Carlito Galvez Jr. said Monday.
Of the five million doses, all procured by the government, three million are from China’s Sinovac, 1.8 million from Moderna, vaccines, and 300,000 from Pfizer shots, Galvez said in a vaccination event in San Mateo, Rizal.
In September, the Philippines is set to receive 10 million Sinovac doses, five million Pfizer doses, and three million Moderna doses.
The Philippines has so far administered 30 million COVID-19 vaccine doses, with 13 million jabbed as second doses, meaning 13 million Filipinos are fully vaccinated against the severe respiratory illness.
