3 suspected drug pushers fall in Batangas buy-busts

LUCENA CITY – Police arrested three drug suspects in buy-bust operations in Sto. Tomas City in Batangas province on Sunday.

Sto. Tomas police, in a report, identified the suspects as Allan Paul Buena, 32; Maria Socorro Malabanan, 29; and Angela Alonzo, 37, all alleged suppliers of shabu (crystal meth) to drug users in Barangay (village) San Isidro Sur.

Police said anti-narcotics agents nabbed Alonzo after she sold a pack of shabu to an undercover police officer in the said village around 9:10 p.m.

Earlier, policemen also collared Malabanan in another part of the village around 6:40 p.m. and Buena some two hours earlier.

The three suspects yielded a total of 16 plastic sachets of meth. But the report did not state the total volume and street value of the confiscated shabu.

All suspects were put in jail and are facing charges for violation of Section 5 and 11, Article II of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
