ANGAT, Bulacan – The public market and all similar establishments, except pharmacies and gasoline stations, in all the sixteen barangays here will be closed on Sundays beginning August 22 to prevent residents from going out of their homes and also give way for disinfection as COVID-19 cases rise.

Mayor Leonardo De Leon issued the directive on Friday, Aug. 20, to still allow residents to purchase food and other basic supplies until Saturday.

De Leon said the order will stand until local COVID-19 cases decrease.
