Over 46 % of Central Luzon cops now fully vaccinated vs COVID-19

MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Some 7,128 or about 46.5 percent of the 15,334 police officers in Central Luzon have received full doses of vaccines against COVID-19, the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) Health Service disclosed on Friday, Aug. 20.

It said the fully vaccinated lawmen include 1,967 who got the single-dose Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen vaccine.

Data from the health service showed that 4,476 police officers in the region are still waiting for the second dose of Sinovac, AstraZeneca, Pfizer, Moderna or Sputnik V vaccines.

It said 1,994 police officers under the PRO3 and regional support units received their first dose or full dose of the vaccines from the Regional Medical and Dental Unit in Camp Julian Olivas in San Fernando, Pampanga while the other 11,577 were vaccinated by the local government units where they are assigned.
