9 more Central Luzon cops contract COVID-19

OLONGAPO CITY—Nine new cases of COVID-19 were added to the tally of the Police Regional Office 3 (PRO3) on Friday, Aug. 20, local virus data showed.

The new cases are among the 147 active infections in its workforce, according to the PRO3 health service.

To date, the PRO3 has recorded 2,171 COVID-19 cases since the pandemic began last year.

But 13 more COVID-19-infected policemen in Central Luzon have been added to the tally of recoveries among the PRO3 workforce.

Since last year, the PRO3 registered at least 2,019 recoveries, which reflected a 93-percent recovery rate.
