Cabanatuan suspends face-to-face checkups in health centers
CABANATUAN CITY––Face-to-face consultations in city health centers have been suspended amid the threats posed by the Delta and Lambda variants of COVID-19, the local government said Thursday, Aug. 19.
The city government said in an advisory that it had directed the health centers to keep their hotline numbers open to respond quickly to queries from residents.
On Aug. 18, the city logged 50 new COVID-19 cases, 10 recoveries, and three deaths.
The new fatalities were a 46-year-old woman from Barangay Pangatian, a 56-year-old man from Barangay Barrera, and a 74-year-old man from Barangay Mabini Homesite.
The city has registered 3,451 confirmed cases, 2,991 recoveries, and 178 deaths related to the disease. INQ
