MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) on Thursday released the schedule for extended voter registration hours.

Starting on August 23, the new voter registration schedule will be from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekdays, according to Comelec.

On Saturdays and holidays, voter registration is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez on Wednesday said the poll body’s en banc “unanimously approved” the voter registration hours, as well as the opening of voter registration on Saturdays and holidays.
