MANILA, Philippines — Manila Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna was discharged from the Sta. Ana Public Hospital after a bout with COVID-19, city officials confirmed on Thursday.
Sta. Ana Hospital officer-in-charge Dr. Grace Padilla said Mayor Isko Moreno, who also contracted the disease, is doing better than previous days.
“Today, we celebrate as our Vice Mayor Honey Lacuna is discharged today from Sta. Ana Hospital! We wish you good health Vice!” Padilla said in a medical bulletin,
“Our honorable Mayor, on his 4th hospital day, continues to show signs of improvement. He is feeling much better from yesterday’s complaints of body pains grade 4/10,” she added.
Padilla said that Moreno’s coughing has been reduced, while his vital signs remained stable.
“He gets up from his bed and can move around his room. He has minimal coughing and is not febrile. All throughout the day, his vital signs remained stable,” Padilla said.
“He has good compliance in taking his prescribed medications. He is sleeping and eating well,” she added.
Manila officials confirmed last Sunday that Moreno tested positive for COVID-19, and that he was feeling several symptoms that prompted him to seek medical attention.
Lacuna got infected earlier than Moreno.
