PH Air Force joins QC cops in seizure of COVID test kits sold online

MANILA, Philippines—The Philippine Air Force (PAF) said it has seized P4.2 million worth of COVID rapid test kits in an operation with police in Pasig City on Tuesday (Aug. 17).

The operation conducted with the Quezon City police led to the arrest of four suspects who had been illegally selling the test kits online, the PAF said in a statement.

A total of 21,000 kits with the brand Konsung and being sold for P200 each had been seized. The total estimated value was P4.2 million.

The suspects will be charged for violation of the law against selling of medical items without permits from the Food and Drug Administration, the PAF said.
