Pagasa: Hot, humid weather to prevail throughout PH in next 24 hours
MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies are forecast to bring hot and humid weather to the country, including Metro Manila, in the next 24 hours, but thunderstorms should still bring rain between early afternoon and midnight, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
“Mainit at maalinsangan ang tanghali at early afternoon, may tiyansa lamang ng occurrence ng mga thunderstorms,” said Pagasa weather specialist Joey Figuracion.
(Hot and humid weather will prevail during noon and early afternoon, with the risk of thunderstorms.)
“Malaki ang tiyansa niyan bandang tanghali hanggang madaling araw,” he added.

“Pero pagpasok po niyan may posibilidad na bagyo na po ito, dahil inaasahan na within 24 to 48 hours ay magiging tropical depression na po ito,” Figuracion explained.
(However, if it enters, it could already be a typhoon since it is expected to become a tropical depression within 24 to 48 hours.)
The LPA, according to Figuracion, will be named “Isang” once it enters PAR as a tropical depression. It will also be the 9th recorded storm to enter the country’s area of responsibility this year.
“Hindi naman ito nakikitang mag-cross over land or mag-landfall,” Figuracion added.
(The storm is not expected to make landfall.)
Pagasa forecast temperature range in key cities/areas for the next 24 hours:
Metro Manila: 25 to 33 degrees Celsius
