MANILA, Philippines — The easterlies are forecast to bring hot and humid weather to the country, including Metro Manila, in the next 24 hours, but thunderstorms should still bring rain between early afternoon and midnight, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).

(However, if it enters, it could already be a typhoon since it is expected to become a tropical depression within 24 to 48 hours.)

“Hindi naman ito nakikitang mag-cross over land or mag-landfall,” Figuracion added.

(The storm is not expected to make landfall.)
