16 kids among 143 new COVID-19 cases in Tarlac
MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga—At least 16 children are among the 143 people infected with COVID-19 in Tarlac, the provincial government disclosed on Monday, Aug. 16.
The youngest of the sick children is 3 years old from San Sebastian village in Tarlac City, who had mild symptoms and was quarantined.
The other young patients are between six and 12 years old from two villages of Victoria town.
Fifteen of the children developed mild symptoms, while one was asymptomatic. Two of them are confined in hospitals, while the others are under quarantine.
Tarlac also reported 945 active COBID-19 cases and 85 recoveries on Monday.
Article continues after this advertisementThe Tarlac government has recorded 10,022 cases since the pandemic began last year. Of these, 8,650 have recovered, while 427 have died.
As of Monday, the capital Tarlac City has 340 active cases, while the towns of Capas and Victoria have 137 and 62, respectively.
