MANILA, Philippines — Pump prices of diesel decreased for the second week in row, this time by 30 centavos per liter as new COVID-19 outbreaks across Asia cast a pall over a recovery in demand for fuels.
Caltex cut prices at 12:01 a.m. followed by Petron, Shell, Seaoil and PTT at 6 a.m.
Petron, Shell, Caltex and Seaoil also reduced prices of kerosene by 40 centavos per liter.
The Asian bellwether Dubai crude was at $70.44 per barrel as of Aug. 12, rising from $69.74 per barrel on Aug. 6.
