Pagasa: Rain showers, cloudy skies in N. Luzon; fairer weather elsewhere
MANILA, Philippines — Parts of Northern Luzon will have cloudy skies and isolated rain showers on Monday due to a low-pressure area, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa).
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.
In Pagasa’s 4 a.m. forecast, senior weather specialist Meno Mendoza said that the LPA will affect Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Batanes, and Babuyan Islands.
“Ang nasabing low pressure area ay nagdadala pa rin ng mga pag-ulan sa ilang bahagi ng hilagang Luzon at ang low pressure na ito ay mababa naman ang tsansa na maging isang ganap na bagyo,” Mendoza explained.
(Rain showers are expected in some parts of Northern Luzon dueto a low-pressure area, which, however, has a slim chanceof intensifying into a storm.).
