More than 400,000 doses of Moderna vaccine arrive in PH

MANILA, Philippines — A total of 469,200 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 on Sunday.

Of the total doses, 319,200 were procured by the national government, and 150,00 were procured by the private sector led by the International Container Terminal Services Inc. (ICTSI) foundation.

The Philippines procured at least 20 million doses of the Moderna vaccine — 13 million doses procured by the government and 7 million doses by the private sector.

All 20 million doses are expected to arrive within the year.

Meanwhile, Malacañang said at least 12 million persons are now fully vaccinated or have completed their two doses against COVID-19.
