LPA off CamNorte to bring rains to parts of Luzon — Pagasa

MANILA, Philippines — The low pressure area (LPA) off Camarines Norte will bring rains over parts of Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical, and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) reported on Sunday.

Cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms are expected over Central Luzon, the Bicol region and Quezon.

Pagasa said that the weather disturbance is not likely to intensify into a tropical cyclone.

“Itong LPA na ito ay mababa naman po ‘yung tsansa na mag-develop into a tropical depression and then possible within the few coming days ay mag-dissipate na lamang po ito,” Pagasa weather specialist Ezra Bulquerin said.

The LPA was monitored some 240 kilometers northeast of Daet, Camarines Norte at 3 a.m.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to the easterlies and localized thunderstorms.

The nation’s coastal waters will be slight to moderate.

The temperature in Metro Manila is expected to range from 25 to 31 degrees Celsius, 16 to 24 degrees Celsius in Baguio, City 24 to 32 degrees Celsius in Cebu, and 24 to 33 degrees Celsius in Davao.
