Magnitude 5.3 quake jolts Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental
MANILA, Philippines — A magnitude 5.3 earthquake struck Governor Generoso, Davao Oriental on Saturday morning, the state volcanologists reported.
The earthquake, which occurred at 9:27 a.m., had a depth of 23 kilometers and is tectonic in origin, according to Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs).

The earthquake is an aftershock of the Magnitude 7.1 earthquake in the same area on August 12.
There is no expected damage as a result of the earthquake.
