MANILA, Philippines — Three police officers tested positive for the COVID-19 Delta variant, the Philippine National Police (PNP) reported on Saturday.
Guillermo Eleazar said in a statement.
(Three cases of Delta variant were reported among our ranks.)
(Our Health Service is closely monitoring them to ensure their swift recovery, along with aggressive contact tracing to determine their close contacts.)
Eleazar likewise reminded police personnel to ensure cleanliness and observe health protocols in police stations.
(I am reminding our police commanders to ensure the cleanliness of your police stations and always disinfect the office so it will not be the cause of transmission of COVID-19.)
As of Saturday, PNP reported 32,239 cases including 1,915 active cases, 30,235 recoveries and 89 deaths.
