Infant among 26 new COVID-19 cases in Olongapo

OLONGAPO CITY––A month-old infant has tested positive for COVID-19 here and is among the 26 new cases here, local data showed on Thursday, Aug. 12.

The local task force said the baby is from Barangay Pag-asa. No details were released about how he contracted the virus.

Aside from him, an 8-year-old girl from Barangay Mabayuan has also tested positive for COVID-19.

But 21 virus-infected patients have also recovered from the disease on the same day, pushing to 2,709 the city’s recoveries.

The figures increased the city’s active cases in the last two days to 306 from 303.

No new fatalities related to COVID-19 were reported on Thursday, which kept the city’s death toll at 176. INQ
