MANILA, Philippines — The entire country is expected to have generally fair weather on Friday, August 13, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.
The state weather bureau said the ridge of high pressure area (HPA) is seen to persist over the Luzon region, bringing generally fair weather over the area.
Pagasa said due to the high pressure area, fair weather is expected in Luzon except for isolated rain showers due to thunderstorms.
Temperatures could go up to 34 degrees Celsius in Tuguegarao City, 33 degrees in Legazpi City, 32 degrees in Metro Manila and Puerto Princesa City and 31 degrees in Laoag City.
Meanwhile, Pagasa said fair weather is also expected in the Visayas and Mindanao except for afternoon rain showers and isolated thunderstorms.
Maximum temperatures of 34 degrees Celsius are expected in Davao City and Zamboanga City, 33 degrees in Cebu City and 32 degrees in Tacloban City, Pagasa reported.
