Iligan City police personnel get COVID-19 jabs

ILIGAN CITY—A total of 591 personnel of the Iligan City Police Office (ICPO) have gotten their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Major Major Zandrex Panolong, ICPO spokesperson, said those vaccinated include police officers and non-uniformed personnel.

Among those vaccinated was Colonel Wilbur M. Salaguste, acting ICPO chief.

Panolong said that of the 591 vaccinated, 444 got AstraZeneca, two Pfizer, 65 CoronaVac, 65 Janssen, and 15 Sputnik V. Except for Janssen, the others are two-dose vaccines.

Salaguste thanked the police personnel for submitting themselves for inoculation, saying the vaccination is their “additional armament and shield” as they discharge their duty of protecting the community amid the coronavirus pandemic.
