MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Leni Robredo has received her second dose of the Astrazeneca vaccine, a post on her personal Facebook account on Wednesday showed.
Robredo went to Quezon City’s COVID-19 vaccination facility at the Pinyahan Elementary School in Diliman, along with Office of the Vice President (OVP) staffers under the A3 category or those with comorbidities.
The Vice President said that the system was efficient and quick, taking them only around 30 minutes.
“Second dose namin ngayon. Magkakasabay uli kaming mga A3 sa OVP pumunta sa Pinyahan Elementary School. Mabilis at maayos pa din ang sistema. Napakabait ng mga nag aasikaso na mga from QC LGU, Doctors, Nurses, Teachers, other volunteers,” Robredo said.
“Napakabilis lang proseso. We were done in about 30 minutes,” she added.
Robredo also encouraged people to get vaccinated against COVID-19, especially with the threat of the Delta variant looming over the country. Currently, Metro Manila and nearby provinces Bataan and Laguna are under an enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) again due to rising COVID-19 cases.
