MANILA, Philippines — The whole country will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to a low pressure area prevailing over Puerto Princesa City, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said.

In its latest weather forecast, Pagasa said that rainshowers and thunderstorms would become widespread over Palawan, Visayas, Central and Western Mindanao which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila will have cloudy skies and experience rainshowers and thunderstorms, the state-run weather bureau said.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast and East will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and coming from the East and Southeast over Mindanao. The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be moderate to rough,” Pagasa added.
