Active COVID-19 cases in Olongapo City rise to 268
OLONGAPO CITY––The active COVID-19 cases in this city rose to 268 on Monday (Aug. 9) after 20 more residents tested positive for the viral disease.
The city’s COVID-19 task force said the new patients, aged 9 to 84 years old, are from nine of its 17 villages.
The new cases pushed to 3,114 the COVID-19 infections logged in this city since last year.
Five patients recovered from the disease. Its recovery rate dropped to 85 percent from 86 percent last week.
The city’s death toll still stood at 172, with no new deaths on Monday.
