MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga — Five elderly and six other residents of Tarlac have succumbed to COVID-19, the provincial government said on Monday, August 9.
In its latest bulletin, the Tarlac government said the fatalities include six residents of Tarlac City and one each from the towns of La Paz, Capas, Bamban, Ramos, and Victoria.
Data showed that the latest to die from COVID-19 complications were six men and five women aged 41-72.
The province also recorded 81 new COVID-19 cases and 56 recoveries on Monday, bringing the total cases to 9,509 since the pandemic began last year. Of the total, 8,430 have recovered while 426 have died.
The new cases include eight children aged between 11 and 15
Tarlac City has the most active cases at 215, followed by Capas town with 102, and Paniqui with 53 active cases. INQ
