SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––At least 10 more COVID-19 patients died in this province, raising its total death toll to 132 on Monday, Aug. 9.

Dr. Noel Bueno, provincial health director, said the latest fatalities were patients aged 49 to 82 years old who tested positive for the viral disease between July 7 and Aug. 2.

All of them suffered from other diseases, such as kidney infections, pneumonia, and respiratory problems.

The province had 36 new infections and 26 recoveries, bringing the total number of active cases to 417.

The province now has 4,564 confirmed cases since last year, 4,015 of whom had recovered from the disease.
