MANILA, Philippines — The Taguig City Government on Tuesday released a total of P12 million in cash assistance to all of its barangays (villages) during the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
Taguig City Mayor Lino Cayetano said each barangay will receive P250,000 each which they could use to purchase more food packs for their constituents.
“We have allotted for ALL Taguig families, regardless of economic standing, to receive food packs from the local government,” Cayetano said in a statement.
According to the local government, the cash aid to buy food packs is on top of other food packs being distributed to 300,000 families regularly.
