SUBIC, Zambales––Police in this town arrested five people and dismantled an alleged drug den during a buy-bust operation Monday, Aug. 9.

Some P105,000 worth of suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) was seized from the suspects, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) in Central Luzon said.

The suspects were identified as Mary Rose Fernandez, 31; Erickson Mabulac, 41; Calixto Alpazine Jr., 51; Jojie Cabariban, 27; and Ariel Pamintuan, 37.

Investigators said the operation yielded 15 grams of shabu, assorted drug paraphernalia, and the buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged with violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
