792,892 COVID-19 vaccines administered in Ilocos
LAOAG CITY—At least 792,298 vaccines against COVID-19 have been administered to the top four priority residents of the Ilocos Region, the Department of Health (DOH) said.
The latest DOH data also showed that 593,975 residents in the region had received at least one dose of the vaccine, while 198,323 had been injected two doses.
The healthcare workers have the highest vaccination coverage of 83.88 percent of the 87,409 eligible in the A1 priority group who are fully vaccinated against the virus.
A total of 39,407 residents from those under the expanded A1 priority group, or overseas Filipino workers, and qualified family members of healthcare workers, had received at least one dose of the vaccine.
Around 46.83 percent of the target senior citizens and 51.12 percent of those with ailments had received at least one dose of the vaccines.
Article continues after this advertisementAt least 35,730 essential workers (A4 priority), had one dose each, the DOH said.
Dr. Rheuel Bobis, COVID-19 focal person of the DOH in the region, said Monday that the vaccination sites across Ilocos administered a record-high of 41,957 doses in a single day.
