Man found dead at irrigation site in Zambales

A floating body of a man was found at an irrigation site in San Narciso, Zambales

SAN ANTONIO, Zambales––Authorities recovered the body of a man floating Sunday in an irrigation site along the National Highway in San Narciso town, police said Tuesday, Aug. 10.

Col. Romano Cardiño, provincial police director, identified the man as Jessy Mata, 42, a caretaker of a fish pond near the irrigation in Barangay Beddeng.

The police said Mata had been arrested for illegal drugs in May.

The cause of his death has yet to be determined, investigators said.
