MABALACAT CITY, Pampanga––Policemen apprehended 78 persons here and 95 residents of the City of San Fernando for loitering and non-wearing face masks over the weekend.

Col. Arnold Thomas Ibay, Pampanga police director, said Monday that 41 of the protocol violators were from Barangay Sapang Biabas in this city, while the 34 others were from other areas.

In the City of San Fernando, five of the 95 apprehended violators are minors.

Ibay said the accosted individuals were brought to covered courts and lectured on the importance of observing health protocols against COVID-19 and abiding by the recent executive order by the Pampanga provincial government amid the threat posed by the Delta variant.

They were warned against future violations before being sent home.
