More than 54,000 Angeles City residents fully vaccinated vs COVID-19
ANGELES CITY – Some 54,016 residents here have received full doses of vaccines against COVID-19, the city government disclosed on Saturday, August 7.
The latest bulletin said some 94,745 individuals were also given the first dose of the vaccines at the City Colleges of Angeles, the Angeles City National High School, and via the city government’s mobile clinics.
The city government said the fully vaccinated residents include 5,949 health workers and medical frontliners under the A1 priority group; 19,738 elderly under A2; 15,021 individuals with comorbidities under A3; and 13,304 frontline personnel in essential sectors under A4 category.
A total of 74,202 doses of Sinovac, 31,614 doses of AstraZeneca, 18,603 doses of Pfizer, and 12,171 doses of Johnson & Johnson vaccines have been administered to the residents.
On August 6, the city government was able to inoculate 5,817 individuals in its single-day vaccination activity.
Meanwhile, the city recorded 36 new COVID-19 cases and 15 recoveries on Saturday.
A total of 7,659 cases have been recorded here since the onset of the pandemic last year. Of these, 6,783 have recovered, 335 have died, and 541 remain as active cases.
