LEGAZPI CITY — A fire broke out before noon on Saturday at a school building in Bicol University’s (BU) campus in Tabaco City, a report from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) here said.
Fire Inspector Aramis Aristhedes Balde, BFP Bicol public information officer, said a school building at the BU Tabaco Campus, formerly BU College of Fisheries, in Barangay Tayhi was damaged by a fire of yet unknown origin.
Balde, in an interview, said the fire which started at around 11:20 a.m. reached the second alarm status, as two fire trucks from Tabaco City responded to the fire call and were able to put off the fire past 1 p.m.
Firemen were still investigating what caused the fire and yet to estimate losses.
